Miznon Tel Aviv
Tel Aviv, Israel
The read// why locals go
Miznon on HaArbaa is Eyal Shani's Tel Aviv pita restaurant — the room where a whole roasted cauliflower became a dish the world copied. The idea is simple enough to travel: proper cooking, served inside pita, eaten standing up or crammed onto a stool. The cauliflower is the famous one, but the steak pita and the ratatouille make the same argument — that street food deserves a serious kitchen behind it. Around ₪55 covers a filling meal and the pace is deliberately quick. The format has since spread to a dozen cities; this is where it was worked out, and it still functions as neighbourhood food.
