Eetbar de Wagon serves dinner inside two restored 1900s railway carriages parked opposite the north side of Tilburg station, in the old Spoorzone. The setting does most of the talking: original train interiors, a terrace beside the tracks, and a recently added 1900s shunting locomotive, the Sik 317, standing as the centrepiece. The kitchen keeps things unfussy and generous, with mains around eighteen euros, vegetarian plates on the card and a short list of house wines chosen by the owners rather than a distributor. One of the carriages has its own bar and seats groups of up to fifty, which makes this as much a neighbourhood eetcafé as a place to celebrate something. Independent, single location, and unmistakably Tilburg.
