Stoet
Enschede, Netherlands
The read// why locals go
Stoet is a small daytime kitchen on Pijpenstraat where good bread does the talking. The menu runs from banana breakfasts, brioche and croissants through French toast, pancakes and crepes, then into yoghurt bowls, overnight oats, acai and salads, wraps filled with pulled chicken or tempeh, open sandwiches, and toasties served on Turkish pide. Everything is plated for eating at the table rather than grabbed from a counter, and the sweet plate arrives as six miniatures meant to be shared. Plates hover around ten euros, vegetarian and vegan choices run right through the card, and there is a terrace for the days Twente allows it.
