De Kurk
Delft, Netherlands
The read// why locals go
De Kurk is a wine bar on the Burgwal, one of the older canal streets inside Delft's historic centre, pouring by the glass alongside small plates built to be shared. The format decides the evening: you order in rounds, the table fills up gradually, and dinner takes as long as it takes. Vegetarian dishes are part of the standing menu rather than an afterthought, which makes it an easier room to bring a mixed group to than most. Reckon on around €20 a head for food before wine. Evenings only, and better for a long sit than a quick one — the whole design assumes you are staying.
