Jobi has been Leblon's boteco since 1956, open all day on Avenida Ataulfo de Paiva and busy at almost every hour of it. The boteco is Brazil's most durable format — beer, bar snacks, pavement tables, no reason to book — and Jobi is the South Zone's definitive version. Fried and grilled snacks come out to match the chopp, tables spread onto the avenue, and the crowd runs from afternoon drinkers to people arriving long after dinner. Around R$40. Seventy years in one of Rio's wealthiest neighbourhoods has not made it precious: it has stayed cheap, loud and open, and Leblon has stayed loyal on exactly those terms.
